Environmental Testing

We offer the following services throughout the midwest region:

In the OR Environment:
Air Exchange
Trace Gas Testing, STEL and TWA tests available

In the Lab/Central Supply Environment
Glutaraldehyde
Formaldehyde
Xylene
Toulene
ETO

Formaldehyde Testing
– The employer shall assure that no employee is exposed to an airborne concentration of Formaldehyde which exceeds two parts Formaldehyde per million parts of air (2 ppm) as a 15-minute STEL.

– The employer shall assure that no employee is exposed to an airborne concentration of Formaldehyde which exceeds one part Formaldehyde per million parts of air (1ppm) as an 8-hour TWA.
OSHA CFR 1910.1048

Ethylene Oxide
– The employer shall ensure that no employee is exposed to an airborne concentration of EtO in excess of 5 parts of EtO per million parts of air (5ppm) as averaged over a sampling period of fifteen (15) minutes.

– The employer shall ensure that no employee is exposed to an airborne concentration of one (1) part EtO per million parts of air (1ppm) as an 8-hour time-weighted average (8-hour TWA).

Waste Gas Analysis (N2O testing)
– Occupational exposure to Nitrous Oxide, when used as the sole anesthetic agent, shall be controlled so that no worker is exposed at TWA concentrations greater than the NIOSH recommended standard of 25 ppm as a ceiling limit.

– NIOSH “Waste Anesthetic Gases and Vapors”

Xylene, Glutaraldehyde & Acetic Acid Analysis
– Please reference Link below to OSHA 1910.1000 Z1A Chart of exposure Levels and Testing Criteria
